A Little Bit About Me

Associate Field Engineer at ALTR

In the summer of 2024, I interned at ALTR, where I quickly found myself immersed in the world of data security and surrounded by such a smart, like-minded, and driven team. The hands-on experience during my internship solidified my passion for tech and data-driven solutions, which led me to transition into my current role as an Associate Field Engineer.

Before joining ALTR, my background isn't reminiscent of the typical tech background as it wasn't until my senior year of college where I discovered my passion. I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences. Along the way, I added an Economics minor to my academic achievements. It wasn't until my last semester, in a class called 'Economic Analysis of Data', that I first encountered the world of programming hands-on. Initially unfamiliar with tools like R, I soon found myself intrigued by the potential of data and analytics, leading me to first explore Python outside of class.

A year after graduation, I came into my internship equipped with a year's worth of self-dedicated study in AWS, Linux, Terraform, Docker etc. This foundation, combined with my enthusiasm and dedication, allowed me to hit the ground running at ALTR and transition smoothly into a full-time engineering role. It is here where I continue to grow and contribute to cutting-edge projects.
