Field Engineer at ALTR
In the summer of 2024, I interned at ALTR, where I was introduced to the world of security-focused engineering and had the opportunity to work alongside a talented, motivated team. The hands-on experience confirmed how much I enjoy building and solving technical problems, which led to my transition into a full-time Field Engineer role.
My path into tech wasn’t traditional. I graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Animal Sciences and an Economics minor. During my final semester, a course that introduced programming sparked my interest in technology. Starting with R and later teaching myself Python, I discovered how much I enjoyed building tools and working with systems.
A year after graduating, I entered my internship with a self-built foundation in AWS, Linux, Terraform, and Docker. That groundwork, paired with curiosity and drive, helped me contribute quickly at ALTR and grow into my current engineering role, where I continue expanding my skills in cloud architecture, automation, and security.
This website began as a personal sandbox for early projects and still gets occasional updates—like the recent Strava API integration—as new ideas come to me.
While I was learning, I showcased the projects I built, ranging from Python-centric content to projects hosted in AWS.
